The next chapter of your story begins today. Join WCSO at the Hiring Our Heroes Transition Summit at Pacific Views Event Center on Camp Pendleton (October 23-24) to learn more about our job opportunities and take the first step in your career with an expedited hiring process.

The first step in the application process is to complete the Frontline Law Enforcement Test through National Testing Network (NTN). To help expedite the process WCSO recruiters will be onsite facilitating the test on October 25th at 0800 – Marine and Family Programs HQ, Building 13150, classroom’s 2 and 3, MCB Camp Pendleton. This test is offered for free to anyone attending.

Media Release: One Person Killed in Single Vehicle ATV CrashOn Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 2:36 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to recreational ATV crash near Chehalem Ridge Nature Park. When deputies arrived, they found 46-year-old Matthew Brown of Cornelius deceased. The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. The investigation revealed that Brown was the only person on the ATV when it crashed. His family has been notified of his death.The Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) is a multi-agency team of specially trained law enforcement officers from the Sheriff's Office, local police departments, and the Washington County District Attorney's Office. The team investigates and reconstructs traffic crashes that may result in the prosecution of felony assault or manslaughter charges. TRAFFIC SAFETY UNIT NEWS: Over Labor Day weekend your WCSO Traffic Safety Unit focused on DUII enforcement with our state and local partners. During this focused mission, the team stopped over 356 drivers, arresting 28 for driving under the influence of intoxicants. The team also issued 123 traffic-related citations. Thank you to Oregon State Police, Beaverton Police Department, Sherwood Police Department, Tualatin Police Department, Forest Grove Police, and W.C.C.C.A. 9-1-1 for their partnership and commitment to keeping drivers safe.We can all do our part to keep drivers safe.
